Whilst culturally known for being one of the earlier English dwellings as well as the home of the Clifton suspension bridge, there are also some decidedly more modern additions that letting agents in Bristol have noted are bring people in to the city.
Even though it is steeped in culture and history, Bristol still plays host to many modern features, proving itself to be a city ready to both embrace its past but invest in its future. One of the newest developments driving this more modern Bristol is the developments at the Harbourside.
Running along the banks of the Avon river, the Harbourside has recently seen a wealth of new investors coming into the city to develop the area into a thriving, metropolitan area replete with bars, restaurants, hotels and other attractions.
The Harbourside area has attractions for all ages and interests, with science museum @Bristol leading the way for young families and amateur scientists.
A registered charity, @Bristol is dedicated to educating children and piquing their interest in the sciences. With regular exhibitions and special events, the museum gives people of all ages plenty to do all year round. Also, just across the way from @Bristol is the Bristol Aquarium, giving children and adults alike a chance to glimpse some weird and wonderful creatures from even the deepest oceans.
But it’s not all learning and activities. Adults are catered for too with a wealth of pubs bars and restaurants giving them a whole array of places to go and unwind with friends, families or even alone. It offers everything from gastropubs to Italian and Asian restaurants, as well as bars cafés and even a cinema. The area has grown from a small development on the fringes of town to a wholly realised destination and extremely desirable place to live.
Partnered with the pedestrianised areas and riverfront scenery, it’s little surprise that the Harbourside area has become such a popular area of Bristol.
